Actress-model Poonam Pandey’s team revealed on social media that she passed away on Friday morning due to cervical cancer.
Born in Kanpur on March 11, 1991, Poonam began her career as a model. She was one of the top nine contestants of the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest and even graced the magazine’s cover. She debuted on-screen with the 2013 film Nasha, which saw her play a teacher in a relationship with her student.
Poonam Pandey gained widespread recognition when, ahead of the 2011 Cricket World Cup final, she pledged to strip if India emerged victorious. This bold claim catapulted her to fame on various social media platforms.

Poonam Pandey’s ex-husband Sam Bombay has now shared his side of the story after the actress accused him of domestic violence. Sam claimed that Poonam had no idea what molestation meant. Poonam Pandey and Sam Bombay got married in September 2020.
But during her honeymoon in Goa, she got her husband arrested by the Goa police. She filed an FIR against Sam for molesting, threatening and assaulting her.
